Brittany Ferries MV Normandie - Further Ferry Information
MV Normandie is a ferry operated by Brittany Ferries. She was built at Kvaener Masa Yards in Finland and has been sailing for Brittany Ferries since 1992. Normandie rarely strays from the Portsmouth - Caen route for which she was built however, she has operated between Portsmouth and Cherbourg on a number of sailings, mostly for Christmas and New Year lay overs but also in 1994 to transport the Tour de France back to its home country after a leg in the United Kingdom.

Following the the popularity and successful operation of MV Bretagne, Brittany Ferries commissioned The Normandie in 1991 for the route between Portsmouth and Caen. Named after the French region of Normandie, much of the vessels fixtures, fittings and decor is themed in a norman style. MV Normandie can accommodate 2,123 passengers and up to 600 cars with a choice of 220 cabins and over 400 reclining seats.
The vessel features an array of onboard facilities including a choice of dining options, onboard shopping and various types of live entertainment. Normandie also features 2 cinemas a games room and children's entertainment. Wifi internet access is available throughout the vessel.
