Color Line Color Fantasy - Further Ferry Information and Vessel Description

MS Color Fantasy is currently the second largest cruiseferry in the world (just behind her sister vessel, MS Color Magic). The ship was built in Finland by Aker Finnyards, Turku in 2004 for the operator Color Line, who added the ship to its route between Oslo in Norway and Kiel in Germany. The ship offers a broad array of entertainment and shopping. Color Fantasy, along with her sister are the flagships of the Color Line fleet. Her home port is Oslo. The €300 million Color Fantasy began operation in early 2005, hailed as the world’s largest cruise ship incorporating a car deck. Color Fantasy and her sister, Color Magic, were custom-designed to carry out shorter cruises and have a passenger capacity of 2,750 passengers. The layout of the vessel is spread over 16 decks. Altogether, there are over 1,000 cabins, of which 46 are suites. All cabins have TV and mini bar. At anyone time, this huge vessel has a crew of 250.

Along the length of the vessel is a striking promenade that is three decks in height including the vessel's main restaurant restaurant. There is a fully equipped conference centre and a permanent exhibition area, which can accommodate 850 participants.

The main vehicle deck has a row of pillars however the drive-through space can take six lanes of commercial vehicles. The vessel can accommodate up to 750 cars. There are also 1,030 lane metres in deck three and 240 lane metres on deck four for trucks and trailers, giving a total of 1,270 lane meters

The Fantasy Show Lounge presents two shows per evening. For dining, the guests can choose between eight different restaurants - from a private dining saloon in the Cosmopolitan Gourmet to the Sports and Burger Bar. Among several bars, is the Observation Lounge on the upper deck. The Color Spa and Fitness Centre includes comprehensive gym and spa facilities with spa treatments, hair salon, jacuzzi, steam bath, sauna and massage chairs. There is also the main swimming facilities, "Aqualand".
