Grenaa Port Ferry Overview
Grenaa or Grenå is a town in central Denmark, located in Norddjurs municipality in Jutland's Region Midtjylland. Grenaa is locted on the eastern tip of Djursland, is always worth a visit. Djursland is the 3rd largest holiday area in Denmark – renowned its beautiful and varied scenic areas and its splendid white beaches. The area boasts great history, culture and activities as well as countless attractions and events thoughout the year.
The pedestrianised streets of the town centre have a lot of speciality shops and shopping centres and the urban environment is rich with historical buildings from various periods. The port and the town are bound together in a natural way by Grenaaen, the stream of Grenaa, which all over can be followed by a system of paths. South of Grenaa you will find lovely sandy beaches particularly during the summer months. The area also offers excellent facilities for amateur fishing and scuba.
Grenaa Port is best known as a fishing harbour but also offers services of a ferry port and is very popular with yachts. One ferry servce is available from Grenaa wich crosses to Varberg in Sweden. The service is offerd by Stena Line. |
