Koge Port Ferry Overview
Køge is a seaport and the main town in Køge Municipality, Region Sjælland, Denmark. Koge is an old port and one of the best preserved medieval towns in Roskilde County, Denmark and situated south of Copenhagen on the east coast of the island of Zealand.
Koge Ferry Port provides the main connections to Ronne on the island of Bornholm with the ferry operator Bornholmstrafikken. There is easy access to Copenhagen and Rodby via the quick Danish motorway system. The port of Koge also provides a regular bus service and taxi rank.
Port of Køge is part of the Scandinavian Transport Centre in Køge, which is the largest combined business park and transport centre on Zealand. Port of Køge became a ferry port in 2002 with the establishment of a goods ferry between Køge and Bornholm. This route was changed to a combined passenger and goods ferry two years later, replacing the passenger ferry from Copenhagen to Bornholm. |
