Pesaro Port Ferry Overview
Pesaro is a town and commune in the Italian region of the Marche, capital of the Pesaro e Urbino province, on the Adriatic. Pesaro is home to some famous landmarks including The Adriatic Arena, the third biggest Italian indoor arena behind Mediolanum Forum in Milan and PalaLottomatica in Rome, the Ducal Palace and the Romanesque Cathedral Basilica.
Pesaro, on Italy's Adriatic coast, is not well-known to foreign travellers, but it is a popular traditional seaside resort, and Italian visitors have been coming here to enjoy the sandy beaches for a hundreds of years.
Like most Italian seaside resorts, the original settlement, dating to the Roman era, is a short distance inland, and so the centro storico - historic centre - is separated from the Mediterranean by more modern and less attractive developments of hotels and seaside dwellings. |
