Toulon Port Ferry Overview
Toulon is a city in southern France and is home to a lrage port and harbour. Situated at the Southernmost tip of the French Coast, the port of Toulon benefits from an excellent strategic position in the Western Mediterranean. Climate is typical of the South of France. The summers are relatively hot, with temperatures usually higher than 30 °C. Toulon nestles between mountain and sea in Europe’s largest and best sheltered bay, accessible in all weather conditions.
Toulon's large harbour and offers several international routes including Ajaccio, Bastia and Ile Rousse in Corsica. There is also a route operated by GLD Lines that connects Toulon with Rome (Civitavecchia). A pedestrian walkway leads passengers and crews straight from the ship to the city-center, so they can easily reach the promenade with its many restaurants and brasseries, old beautifule Provencal market, boutiques, shopping mall and beaches.
