Stena Line Stena Express - Further Ferry Information and Vessel Description The Stena Express is an 81m fast catamaran ferry operated by Stena Line. She was built in 1996 and briefly served on the English Channel for P&O Stena Line as the HSC Elite. In 1998 she was transferred to Stena Line's Fishguard - Rosslare service and renamed Stena Lynx III. She has since operated this route on a seasonal basis, spending the winter laid-up, usually in Birkenhead.

Stena Lynx III is still the official name of the vessel although is is usually referred to as Stena Express. Stena Line purchased the vessel in 2004. She operates on her seasonal role in the Southern Irish Sea for the summer operating alongside the MS Stena Europe conventional ferry that serves the route all year round.
The Stena Express fast ferry offers various services and facilities. Passengers who enjoy that extra little bit of comfort can upgrade to the Stena Plus Lounge.
