Wightlink Ferries MV St Faith - Further Ferry Information and Vessel Description

MV St Faith is a vehicle and passenger ferry operated by Wightlink on their route from Portsmouth to Fishbourne on the Isle of Wight. As with fellow Wightlink ship St Cecilia, there are also plans to increase St Faith′s capacity by increasing her size to 12 metres. The ship was built in 1990 for the Portsmouth to Fishbourne route, the route she has taken throughout her life. St Faith is the second youngest of Wightlink's 'St Class' ships, after St Clare. Part of the Wightlink Ferry Fleet MV St Faith

St Faith was built in Selby for the Portsmouth - Fishbourne service and operates on the route along with three other Saint Class vessels is the Wightlink Ferries fleet, MV St Cecilia, MV St Helen and St Catherine. As with MV St Cecilia, plans have been formulated to increase St Faith's capacity by stretching her 12 metres.

Her service speed is 12.5 knots and has a length of 77 metres, beam of 17 metres and loaded draught of 2.48 metres. The ship has a double end design, where the ship can travel in both directions, so that when it arrives, the vehicles are always facing the correct direction for disembarkation, so does not have to turn around before docking. Facilities on board include a café, bar, lifts, TVs in seating areas, a shop and toilets.
