Cruise Barcelona is a cruiseferry owned by Grimaldi Ferries. She was built and launched in 2008 at the shipyards of Castellammare di Stabia. The Cruise Barcelona is the second of 4 sister ships built specifically for Grimaldi Line's Mediterranean routes and is one of the biggest cruiseferries with car carrying capacity in the world. Grimaldi Lines' Cruise Barcelona is capable of carrying 215 cars and 2300 passengers and is equipped with 460 cabins which includes 60 suites. Other facilities onboard the vessel include a restaurant, casino, internet cafe, supermarket, sauna, swimming pool, tanning center, disco, boutique and piano bar. The Cruise Barcelona along with her sister vessel Cruise Roma came into service between Civitavecchia and Barcelona back in 2008. As well as Cruise Barcelona, Cruise roma is also a sister vessel of Cruise Europa, currently operating between Ancona - Igoumenitsa - Patras for Greek shipping company Minoan Lines.
