The MS Isle of Inishmore is a is a RORO car ferry currently owned and operated by Irish Ferries on the Pembroke, Wales — Rosslare, Ireland route. She was launched in 1997 at Van der Giessen de Noord, Netherlands, and serviced the Holyhead to Dublin route for 4 years. She was then replaced by Irish Ferries flagship MV Ulysses and moved to the Pembroke - Rosslare route in 2001. The Isle of Inishmore can carry 2,300 passengers, 710 cars and 122 lorries. The Isle of Inishmore was named after the famous Aran island off the west coast of Ireland. The vessel celebrated 10 years of service in 2007. the Isle of Inishmore. It is one of Europe’s largest, well equipped, most modern car ferries boasting an array of amenities and services on board. All passengers have access to lounges including the Veranda lounge with it's breathtaking views of the Irish Sea. Passengers also have the option of upgrading to Club Class to enjoy access to the exclusive lounge bar as well as enjoying complimentary Newspapers, drink & snacks and reserved seating.
Isle of Inishmore's sistership, MV Stena Jutlandica, operates between Gothenburg and Frerikshavn. She has less passenger accommodation, being primarily a freight ship. |
