Northlink Ferries offer 2 main routes, the first route runs a daily, overnight service between Aberdeen and Lerwick in Shetland. The journey time is around 12.5 hours. 4 of these weekly crossings stop at Kirkwall in Orkney, this increases the journey time to 14.5 hours. The other route departs from the northern tip of Scotland between Scrabster and Stromness. This short journey takes just 90 minutes.
