Fishguard Port Ferry Overview
Fishguard is one of two ports in the Pembrokeshire area, Wales that provides ferry services to Rosslare in the the Republic of Ireland. The port is situated at Goodwick, just 1 mile from the town centre of Fishguard. Fishguard is served by train at Fishguard Harbour railway station. Fishguard is known for it's wildlife especially it's sea mammals including the grey seal, and even porpoises and dolphins.
The port's ferry terminal is operated by Stena Line and offers a number of facilities including a cafeteria that serves hot and cold beverages and snacks, the Cuppacabana bar and a selection of vending machines. The port is located close to Goodwick's shops and facilities, while toilets for disabled passengers are also on hand as well as baby-changing facilities.
Fishguard is a delightful town with narrow streets and good local facilities. It is the only area of Pembrokeshire's coastline which is not within the National Park. An ideal base from which to explore the rest of Wales. The Fishguard tourist information centre is located in the Town Centre and just outside the port on the Quayside Ocean Lab complex. |
