Dieppe Port Ferry Overview
Dieppe is a town and commune in the Seine-Maritime department and Haute-Normandie region of France. Dieppe has a ferry port, directly linked with Newhaven in England by LD Lines' sister company, Transmanche Ferries.
By using the Newhaven - Dieppe route rather than Dover - Calais, passengers whose onward destinations are the West and South West of France and Spain can save a large amount of driving time. The service also offers a longer crossing and a bigger rest period during the crossing on board the comfortable vessel, which for many customers is much prefered to compared to extra hours on the roads.
As well as it's major commercial and fishing port operations, Dieppe is also France’s oldest seaside resort and the closest beach to Paris. Dieppe boasts a charming town centre. The Château de Dieppe is a must see and now houses a musium. Dieppe hoasts many festivals and events with the Kite festival a notable favorite.
Please Note:
LD Lines have decided to discontinue the Dover - Dieppe route due to lack of demand. Please try the alternative Dover - Boulogne route also served by LD Lines. |
