LD Lines Routes
LD Lines offer four main ferry routes sailing under their own name and through their sister company Transmanche Ferries.
There is a daily service between Portsmouth and Le Havre all year round.
LD Lines' English Channel operations commenced in October 2005, operating between Portsmouth, England and Le Havre, France. This service was introduced following the withdrawal of P&O Ferries' longstanding operation on this route. There is one sailing per day in each direction, with the Portsmouth-Le Havre sailing taking place overnight. This uses one vessel, the MS Norman Spirit, which is ironically a former P&O vessel (used on their Dover-Calais route until May 2005).
In addition to the services connecting the UK and France, LD Lines also offer a service connecting Ireland with France between the ports of Rosslare and Le Havre. From November 2008 LD Lines will open a weekly passenger and freight service between Le Havre and Rosslare, Republic of Ireland. The new ferry currently under construction in Italy will serve the route departing from Le Havre on Fridays and returning from Rosslare on Saturdays. The crossing time is expected to be 20 hours.
New for 2009! LD Lines now offer a connection between two return sailings daily will be provided between Dover and Boulogne with a crossing time of just 1 hour onboard their new high speed vessel, Norman Arrow. This is a fantastic new addition to this Channel Ferry route which has not been functioning since the closure of the Speed Ferries service in 2008.
Please Note: Due to lack of demand LD Lines no longer run the Dover - Dieppe route.
One round trip daily operating between Dover and Dieppe with a crossing time of 4 hours 15 minutes.
