Dublin Port Ferry Overview

Dublin Ferry Port is located just 2 miles from the centre of Dublin and is easily accessible by public transport and by car. Dublin Ferry port provides easy access from all parts of Ireland as all the main roads radiate from Dublin as Ireland's capital city is by far the busiest in the country. For passengers who are travelling without cars, the ferry port is well connected by bus routes from both Connolly and Heuston train stations. A shuttle bus service provides transfers to and from Dublin bus station.

Dublin Ferry Port is Ireland's biggest sea port. Approximately two-thirds of the Republic of Ireland's port traffic goes via Dublin Port. There are up to 18 sailings a day from Dublin to the UK, France and the Isle of Man. The port is equipped to serve all types of vessels including cruise ships and high speed ferries meaning that the port handles over 1.5 million passengers a year.

Dublin is both the largest city and capital of Ireland. It is located near the midpoint of Ireland's east coast, at the mouth of the River Liffey and at the centre of the Dublin Region. Dublin is an economic, administrative and cultural centre for Ireland and has one of the fastest growing populations of any European capital city.

Dublin Port Directions

Dublin Ferry port is reached by the M1 from the North, the N11 from the South and the N7 from the West. Dublin Ferry Port is close to the city centre and is well signposted. From the city centre, follow the Quays from O'Connell Bridge down to the Point Depot music venue, then turn left and follow the road all the way to the port.

Connolly Station serves the North and South of Ireland and is situated 4 miles from Dublin Ferry port. Heuston Station serves the West of Ireland and is situated 7 miles from Dublin Ferry port. Both stations are a short taxi or bus ride away.


Dublin Port Parking

Short term parking is available directly outside the Terminal. Long term parking is available charged on a daily basis day in a car park to the left hand side as you approach the main ferry terminal.
