Liverpool Port Ferry Overview
There are two separate terminals located on the Liverpool side of the Mersey. This page contains information on the P&O terminal for travel to/from Ireland and the Steampacket terminal for trips to the Isle of Man.

The vast Port of Liverpool, owned by Peel Holdings, is one of the UK's major Ports & covers both banks of the River Mersey, both in Liverpool & Birkenhead. The Port handles over 30 million tonnes of freight a year, including one third of all freight moving between the UK & Ireland.
Liverpool's Big Dig is under way. It is one of Europe's biggest regeneration programmes, creating 14,000 new jobs and investing £3billion in the city's redevelopment. It brings together all the major regeneration projects taking place throughout the city. Major projects included in the Big Dig are the Paradise Project, the Kings Waterfront Scheme, the Cruise liner Facility, CCMS, the Pier Head canal development, office developments in the commercial district, Merseytram and the Lime Street Gateway. These and other schemes will create 14,000 jobs over the next five years.
