In 1997 Sally Sky was renamed Eurotraveller and moved to the Ramsgate Ostend service for Sally Line. However this identity was short lived, as Sally Line ceased trading in 1998. In 1999 Eurotraveller was first leased to, and then sold to Transeuropa Ferries, remaining on the same route and renamed Larkspur.
MF Larkspur was originally built in 1976 with a large upgrade in 1990. Larkspar can hold up to 325 cars and up to 800 passengers. When crossing Larkspur travels at a speed of 18.5 kn. Larkspur was built at Schichau-Unterweser, Bremerhaven in Germany. The vessel, with it's long history, still continues to offer an efficiaent reliable service between Ramsgate in the South East of England and Ostend in Belgium. |
